Online GF guide: Gluten-free product list (Hy-Vee private label items only)

Notes:

  • In addition to the private label gluten-free list, the Hy-Vee in Ankeny has a HUGE gluten-free aisle, as well as 10% off all gluten-free specific items from the Healthmarket every Wednesday.
  • I believe the West Ames Hy-Vee has 10% off all Healthmarket gluten-free items on the first Tuesday of each month.
  • Hy-Vee “Special Diets” page on their website

The Walmart in Altoona has a small but good Gluten Free zone in the grocery aisle. About 6 or so feet of GF products. Hope this trend continues. Some prices are cheaper than my usual grocery store.

I noticed that myself the last time I was at Wal-Mart (few and far between for us…). I was surprised that they even cared to have a GF section at all. I will have to add it to my list.

    Thanks Kent!

Just tried something new. Bell and Evans GF Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets. Found them in the freezer section at Hy-Vee in Ankeny. Very good flavor and excellent pieces of chicken. Two thumbs up from the whole family! Give’em a try. Much better for you and much better tasting than the fast food joints offerings!!
